It's the load-bearing, heat-exposed, outdoor part of the system, and 304 grade handles the heat and the elements without rusting away. (Our cooking plates, by contrast, are mild steel — because for a cooking surface, seasoning beats stainless every time.)
 

We're a small Australian manufacturer based in Somersby, NSW. We make things out of steel because steel, done properly, outlives almost everything else in a garden or a home.
