The short version

These are the terms that apply when you use our website or buy from us. Most of it is common sense — order in good faith, we ship in good faith, and if something goes wrong we sort it out.

Australian Consumer Law applies to everything we sell. Nothing in these terms takes away the rights it gives you.

1. About these terms

This website (coreearthdesigns.com.au) is operated by Core Earth Designs Pty Ltd (ABN 56 633 366 195). In these terms, "we", "us", and "our" mean Core Earth Designs Pty Ltd. "You" means anyone who visits the site, places an order, or contacts us.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

2. Who can buy from us

To place an order, you must:

Have the legal capacity to enter into a contract
Provide accurate and complete information at checkout
Be ordering for yourself, or be authorised to order on behalf of a business

We sell and ship within Australia only. We don't ship internationally.

3. Ordering and payment

When you place an order, you're making an offer to buy at the prices shown. The order isn't confirmed until we accept it — usually by sending an order confirmation email.

We may decline or cancel orders at our discretion, including (but not limited to):

Suspected fraud or unauthorised payment
Stock shortages or pricing errors
Delivery addresses outside our service area
Bulk orders that appear to be from resellers (we sell to end users, not for resale without prior arrangement)

If we cancel an order after payment, we'll refund you in full within 5 business days.

Pricing

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise. Prices can change without notice, but once we've accepted your order, the price you paid is locked in.

We try hard to keep pricing accurate, but errors happen. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price (for example, a $300 item showing as $3), we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund you, even after payment has been processed.

4. Custom and made-to-order items

Some of our products are made or cut to your specification. By ordering custom items you confirm:

The dimensions, height, material, and finish you've specified are correct
You understand custom items cannot be returned or refunded for change of mind (see our Return Policy)
Once fabrication has started, the order cannot be cancelled

We're happy to confirm specifications by phone or email before fabrication starts. If you're unsure, ask us first — we'd rather spend ten minutes on the phone than build the wrong thing.

5. Delivery

Delivery terms are covered in full in our Shipping Policy. In summary:

We deliver Australia-wide via hand-parcel or palletised freight
Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees
Once your order leaves our warehouse, it's in the hands of the carrier — delays caused by the freight company are outside our control, but we'll always help chase things up
You're responsible for providing accurate delivery information and reasonable site access (see Shipping Policy for site access requirements)

Risk of loss or damage passes to you when the goods are delivered to your nominated address.

6. Returns and refunds

Returns are covered in full in our Return Policy. In summary:

30 days to request a return on standard items
Custom items are not returnable
Faulty or damaged items are covered fully — refund or replacement, all shipping included
Change-of-mind returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee and shipping costs

Nothing in our return policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

7. Australian Consumer Law

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You're entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You're also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

If you believe a product we've sold you is faulty or doesn't meet a consumer guarantee, contact us and we'll work it out. We'd rather you call us than file a complaint with anyone — most issues are resolved in a single phone call.

8. Website use

You may use our website for legitimate purposes only — browsing products, placing orders, contacting us. You agree not to:

Use the site for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to interfere with the site's security or functionality
Scrape, copy, or republish our content without permission
Submit false information at checkout
Upload anything malicious (viruses, malware, etc)

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate access for anyone who breaches these terms.

Our content

The text, photos, designs, product specifications, and tools on this site (including our LazyEdge and InfinityEdge designer tools) are owned by Core Earth Designs Pty Ltd and protected by copyright. You can use the site for your own purposes — including saving designs and quotes — but you can't republish, resell, or reverse-engineer any part of it without our written permission.

Designer tools

Our online design tools (LazyEdge and InfinityEdge) are provided to help you plan your project. The quotes and material lists they generate are estimates based on the information you provide. We're not liable for errors in the inputs you supply (incorrect measurements, wrong material selections, etc), so always double-check before placing an order. If you're unsure, give us a call and we'll review it with you.

9. Third-party links and tools

Our site may contain links to third-party websites, or tools provided by third parties (for example, payment processors). We don't control those sites or services and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. If you use a third-party service through our site, you do so under their terms, not ours.

10. Liability

We take responsibility for what we sell and what we do. Specifically:

If we sell you a faulty product, we'll repair, replace, or refund it under Australian Consumer Law
If we make a mistake with your order, we'll fix it
If we damage something through our negligence, we'll make it right

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for:

Indirect or consequential losses (lost income, project delays, etc)
Issues caused by misuse, incorrect installation, or modifications made after delivery
Site downtime, technical errors, or temporary unavailability of our website
Delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (extreme weather, freight disruptions, supplier shortages, etc)

Where law limits our ability to exclude liability, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product giving rise to the claim.

This section does not exclude any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

11. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

12. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of New South Wales.

If you have a problem, please contact us first — we genuinely want to resolve issues directly. Most disputes are sorted in a single phone call. Formal complaints can be made through:

13. Other things

If part of these terms is unenforceable: the rest still apply.

If we don't enforce something immediately: that doesn't mean we've waived our right to enforce it later.

These terms are the full agreement between you and us regarding your use of our website and any orders placed.
