What height do I actually need?

Height is the decision people get wrong. It's set by how much you're holding back, not by budget.

  • 60mm Lawn and path edges. Keeps mulch off paving.$16.63/m
  • 80mm A deeper mulch line without much soil behind it.$19.21/m
  • 118mm Holds a real mulch or soil level against a lawn.$28.71/m
    Where most land
  • 190mm Raised beds, or a step between two levels.$38.92/m
  • 300mm A Statement. Retaining a genuine change in level.$53.88

Rates shown for a 24m pack. Larger packs come down per metre.

Before you buy anything rusty

"Rusty" is a look. It isn't a spec.

Weathering steel rusts to a point and then largely stops — the patina seals what's underneath. Mild steel just rusts, and keeps going. In a listing photo at week one they look identical. At year ten, only one of them is still holding your garden bed.

One question settles it: does the listing tell you the thickness and the steel grade? If it doesn't, that's your answer.

No two gardens are the same

Draw your bed. We'll work out the parts.

Sketch the run as it actually is — curves, corners, whatever your garden does. The Designer calculates the exact lengths, joiners and pegs, then puts them in your cart.

No measuring twice, no guessing at peg counts, nothing left over on the driveway. And because we make it here, we can cut to your dimensions — odd shapes aren't a problem, they're most of what we do.

Two ranges — the honest difference

Is this the one you want?

Both are Australian steel, both are made to last. The difference is the look, and how long you'll spend putting it in.

We can cut-to-length for you!

Need some custom lengths to help with your install?

Simply add the required cut size to your order in the height you require for your project.
This will mean you wont need to cut anything on your end, the product arrives ready to install, perfect.
We offer these in 100mm increments from 100mm through to 2300mm. Please remember, you have around 100mm of ‘play space’ in each joiner or corner piece.
e.g. If you need a length at 2250mm, please order 2200mm and you can hide the 'missing' 25mm each side within the joiners.

NOTE: This charge includes all material and cutting, based on the size you choose.
