Pre-rusted — no wait, no transition
Unlike raw Corten products that develop their patina over the first few weeks outdoors, our sphere pots are weathered in-house before dispatch. You unbox a finished piece. There's no awkward silver stage, no wondering if the rust is happening right, no mental accounting against the garden design you imagined. What you see in the photos is what arrives.
Made to last, made to move
At 3mm, these are among the thickest Corten pots you'll find in this size range — substantial enough to read as permanent landscape sculpture rather than garden hardware. They're also heavy. For the 80cm and 100cm sizes, we recommend two people and a couple of pool noodles to roll them into final position (genuinely the easiest method — far simpler than lifting).
Pre-drilled drainage
Every pot ships with drainage holes pre-drilled in the base. Planning to use it indoors or on a deck where drainage isn't wanted? The holes plug cleanly with urethane sealant — a two-minute job before you plant.
Three sizes
- 60cm diameter — a statement on a patio, entry, or bedside of a garden path
- 80cm diameter — the showpiece size, big enough to anchor a corner or feature bed
- 100cm diameter — architectural scale, the piece people will ask about
Trio Pack — all three sizes together at a heavily discounted price. The staggered grouping reads as a single composed feature rather than three separate pots.
A note on placement
The pre-rust process is weather-accelerated but takes a few more weeks outdoors to fully stabilise. In that early period — particularly in the first rains after delivery — pots can leave rust marks on pale concrete, timber decks, or unsealed stone directly beneath them.
If you're planning to place them on a surface you'd rather not stain, we recommend either:
- Positioning the pots in a holding spot (garden bed, gravel, grass) for 4–6 weeks to let the patina stabilise fully before final placement, or
- Sealing the surface beneath with a quality penetrating sealer before positioning
Very limited stock
These are genuinely difficult to produce — the roll-forming for a perfect sphere at 3mm thickness is a specialist process, and we only run small batches. Current stock is limited, and we can't commit to when (or if) we'll run another batch. If one of these has caught your eye, don't put it off.
About the photos
The brown bottle next to each pot in our images is there for scale — photographs genuinely don't do these justice. The visual weight of a 100cm rusted sphere in a garden is something that lands best in person.
